Grzegorz Gojrzewski (Gregor) is a renowned professional athletics coach. He conducts training programs in Melbourne, Victoria. His Team Gregor has performed at state, national and international level with record results and achievements.

Qualifications

Master's Degree of Education in Physical Education

Teaching specialisation completed at Szczecin University Institute of Physical Education, Poland in 1988.

Professional Athletics Coach

Postgraduate Study at the Academy of Physical Education in Wroclaw, Poland. Obtained the professional title of ATHLETICS COACH in 1997.

Information Technology Studies

Diploma of Information Technology, TAFE Melbourne, Australia in 2001

Postgraduate Diploma in Information Technology at Swinburne University of Technology Melbourne, Australia specializing in Information System Development, in 2002.

  • Silver medal at National Cross Country Championships U 22 (6000m), 1982
  • Represented Poland 7 times
  • National Record holder on 5000m under 16, 17 and 18 years
  • Junior Personal Best: 1500m – 3.49.1, 3000m – 8.13.2, 5000m – 14.30.2
  • 10th place at World University Cross Country Championships – Graz, Austria, 1986
  • Personal Best: 1500m – 3.45.89, 3000m – 8.03.4, 5000m – 13.51.88
Coaching – LKS Pomorze Stargard, Poland, 1991–1997

Gregor coached a team of ~40 runners as a State Coach and National Junior Team Coach. His athletes won 12 medals at the Polish National Championships (indoor, cross country and outdoor), and represented Poland in International Junior Competitions. The best athlete Tomasz Sikorski represented Poland at World Junior Championships in 3000m steeple at Sydney in 1996. 

Coaching – Australia, 1997 onwards

Gregor is currently a Level 5 ATFC and a proud coach at Athletics Essendon Club. Athletes in his Team represent Australia in World Cross Country Championships (Liam Adams) , World Junior Championships (Johnny Rayner, Joel Hogarth), World University Cross Country (Liam Adams), World University Games (Liam Adams), Oceania Championships  (Becky Pille, Ellen Schaef, Caroline Higham, Aidan Roberts, Abigail Thomas) World School Cross Country Championships (Liam Adams), Youth Commonwealth Championships (Linden Hall)and the Australian Youth Festival (Linden Hall, Johnny Rayner).
